Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Setterlin Building Company is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and coordinate field operations for commercial projects throughout Central and Southern Ohio. The Superintendent ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with exceptional quality.
What You’ll Do

Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through final completion

Maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and field teams

Coordinate manpower, equipment, deliveries, and subcontractor activities

Oversee safety, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards

Monitor daily progress and update the project schedule with the Project Manager

Maintain jobsite documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, field orders, and updated drawings

Perform quality inspections and ensure work meets specifications and contract requirements

Assist with project closeout, punch lists, inspections, and owner training

Support cost control efforts including labor tracking, timesheets, and material usage
What We’re Looking For

3–7+ years of experience in a Superintendent or construction field management role

Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and scheduling

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Strong focus on safety and quality control
-
Ability to navigate uneven terrain, operate equipment, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work outdoors

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred

Experience with PEMB (pre-engineered metal buildings) is a plus
