JOB TITLE: Concrete Craftsman

JOB SUMMARY:

Setterlin Building Company is looking for Concrete Craftsmen to join our self-perform concrete team working on commercial projects across Central and Southern Ohio.

Our concrete crew is well-rounded, and no two days are necessarily the same. One day you may be setting forms or building walls, the next pouring flatwork, and another finishing concrete. You do not need to know how to do everything; we are looking for hardworking, dependable individuals who have concrete experience and are willing to learn, grow, and take on different types of work as part of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform a variety of commercial concrete work, including flatwork, walls, foundations, and other structural concrete
• Set and strip concrete forms
• Assist with concrete placement, pouring, and finishing
• Perform concrete finishing tasks based on experience and skill level
• Assist with layout, reinforcing steel, embeds, and preparation for concrete pours
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Assist with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
• Work alongside other members of the concrete crew and jobsite team
• Follow direction from Foremen and Superintendents
• Be willing to learn and perform different aspects of concrete construction as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Concrete or construction experience preferred
• Experience with forming, flatwork, walls, or concrete finishing is a plus
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on different types of concrete work
• Ability to take pride in doing quality work

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and work throughout the day
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
